Hosting your own 17 user ventrilo server

Here is how to host your own ventrilo server

Download server:

Install the server and then replace ventrilo_srv.exe in C:\Program Files\VentSrv with this file to crack the user limit to 17:

Note: cracking the user limit to 17 is optional. You can host up to 8 users without the crack.

If your behind a router you need to forward ports 3784-3789. For instructions on how to do this on your router go to:

Once this is done simply go to Start > All Programs > VentSrv > Ventrilo Server

Your server is now running

For your friends to connect tell them to connect to your ip and port 3784

You can edit the INI file in Start > All Programs > VentSrv > Edit INI File to change little things about your server like what its named and voice quality.

This is a 2.3 server so you need to use the 2.3 client

and set up a free DNS if you want people to connect to a web address instead of your ip.
