2 hour Film/Animation on understanding Compression

Recording School Online tutorial on compression, in two parts.

The archives contains two SWF-files of about an hour each.

The first part is all about the THEORY of compression. Goes into great detail on different hardware compressors that were models for todays software plugins.

This is the main reason this -zip file is so much smaller than the other ones; for the majority of the first part/hour, it is just a static Cubase backdrop with one compressor plug-in loaded at a time as the narrator goes through the different eras of hardware compression, the technology and uses of them etc.

The second part is more hands-on examples of them in use, what separates them sonically form each other etc.

Again as with the other RSO titles, the host used is Cubase. Plug-ins are more varied in this one; Roger Nichols, URS, Waves and others. This is much more advanced than the other RSO titles.
