How to Rip a DVD at 700MB [Includes All Software]

This is a tutorial for people who wish to Rip a DVD at 700MB. It has taken me a long time to put together so please say thank you.

Step 1 - Software

You will need 3 pieces of software that i have uploaded into one pack:
1. DVD Decrypter
2. AGK
3. K-Lite Codec Pack

Go through and install DVD Decrypter, AGK and the K-Lite Codec Pack.

Once those three pieces of software are installed, you can proceed to the next step.


Step 2 - Ripping The DVD To Your Hard Drive

Open DVD Decrypter, it will Look something like this:



Source is the location of the DVD you wish to Rip.
Destination is where you want to save the ripped DVD.

Place the DVD you want to rip into your DVD drive and DVD Decrypter should detect that you have inserted the DVD. If not, select the dvd from the drop down box.

After it has detected your DVD it should display a list of the files on the DVD like this:




Now choose where you want to save the DVD by clicking on the small folder icon in the destination section. Make sure the destination has enough free memory (it will require 3-4GB):



Make sure all of the files in the list on the right hand side are selected (you can do this by pressing ctrl+a).

Now click this button:



It will begin to decrypt your DVD now and should look similiar to the picture below. All you have to do now is wait for it to finish.



Once the process is finished you should recieve the following message and you can proceed to the next step.




Step 3 - Converting From DVD To AVI

Open Auto GK and it should look similiar to this:



First of all, you will to need to select the correct input file.
Click on the small folder icon next to the 'input file' box. Browse for the folder that you saved your DVD to. There should be quite a few files in this folder. You will need to change the view of the folder so that you can find the file you need. Right Click anywhere in the background of the folder and click 'View' and then click 'Details'



Now the files will appear in a list and you will be able to see the file sizes.

The input file you are going to select will be a .ifo file. There will probably be many .ifo files in your folder and so you will have to find out which one you have to select. The way to determine this is to look at the file sizes. All the .ifo will have .vob files below them (these might just look like video files), and you have to select the .ifo file that has the biggest .vob files underneath it.


So for me it would be VTS_09_0.ifo because it has the biggest .vob files underneath it:



Now click the small folder icon next to the 'output file' box and choose where you want to save the video and the name you want to call it.

The Audio and Subtitle track will already have been set so you can leave this step.

In the 'Select Output Size' section select custom size and enter 700 into the box next to it like this:



Now you set the advanced parameters, do this by clicking the advanced settings button, and set the settings so that they are the same as this:



Once you have done this, press 'add job' and then click 'start'.

It will begin converting the video and once it is done...

Congratulations, You have ripped your DVD.
