How to get nView working on Vista

That's right... you can install nView to your Vista PC or Laptop.

I have recently upgraded my rig and started using Windows Vista Ultimate. I am using a PNY GeForce 9400 GTS Graphics Card and I noticed that nView was not installed with the rest of the graphic card's programs.

This is how to install nView on your Vista machine.

1. Go to the nVidia website and find the download drivers section.

2. Choose your graphics card and click search, then save the installation file. (This will upgrade your card and may enable you to play games that didn't work before.)

3. Once downloaded, install the file and restart Vista.

Now everything should be set up, apart from nView.

4. Now open the saved installation file using "WinRar", now open the "nView.cab" file using "WinRar" and extract the files somewhere.

5. Now find "nViewSetup.exe" among the extracted files and open it's properties. Change the Compatability Mode to "Windows XP Service Pack 2" and run the install.

Once complete you should have a working copy of nView on your Vista Rig.
