Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash) is an application used to deliver multimedia entertainment, video and interactivity to Web pages. Adobe Flash is widely used in commercials and web games.
Adobe Flash work on "frames" for production and delivery of interactive content for different audiences around the world regardless of platform. It is currently developed and distributed by Adobe Systems, and uses vector graphics and raster images, sound, program code, streaming video and two-way audio (the flow upstream is only available when used in conjunction with Macromedia Flash Communication Server). Strictly speaking, Flash is the environment and Flash Player is the virtual machine program used to run the files generated in Flash.
Flash files, which usually have the SWF file extension, can appear on a web page to be viewed in a browser, or can be played independently by a Flash player. Flash files occur most often as animations in Web pages and multimedia Web sites, and more recently Rich Internet Applications. They are also widely used in web advertisements.
In previous versions, Macromedia Flash extended beyond simple animations, making it a comprehensive development tool to create interactive multimedia components primarily for the Internet.
Originally, Flash was not Adobe's own development, but a small development company FutureWave Software name and its original name was FutureSplash Animator. In December 1996, Macromedia acquired FutureWave Software, and thus its vector animation program becomes known as Flash 1.0. It was not until 2005 belonging to the company previously known as Macromedia Flash Macromedia and acquired by Adobe Systems (and since then known as Adobe Flash), thereby expanding its product portfolio in the market.

ActionScript

ActionScript is an object-oriented language that can extend the functionality that Flash offers in its design and panels also allow the creation of films or animations with high interactive content. Flash provides a language that allows the designer or developer to add new effects or even build the user interface of a complex application, since it is based on the ECMAScript standard. ActionScript version 3.0 has marked a significant change in the language, since in this version has almost decided to dispense with the prototypes and has been designed to be an object-oriented language only through classes. There have also been major changes in the syntax of the language.

Difference between Adobe Flash and animation

The difference is that Adobe Flash uses images and sounds "frames" to create 2D animation is also easier and less time are used in web pages and multimedia web sites. These can be played by a Flash player that can also do to create multimedia animations, multimedia, games and more.
Moreover, the animation style is to give the impression of movement to drawings or images from real objects and actors with the tiniest movement to create a more realistic animation and third dimension that can be very labor intensive and tedious.

Security

Like any application that is received files on the Internet is susceptible to attack. Specially crafted files could cause the application to malfunction, potentially allowing the execution of malicious code. There is no knowledge of real and concrete problems, but the plug-in player has had security flaws that could theoretically have compromised a computer to remote attacks (see [1] and [2] for a December issue 2002, which is a public warning and patch for Macromedia). There has been no (published) security incidents since then. Flash Player is considered safe to use, especially when compared to modern browsers and applications of use.
Flash application files can be easily decompiled into its source code and its values. There are several programs available that draw graphics, sound and program code from swf files. For example, an open source program called Flasm (http://flasm.sourceforge.net) allows users to extract ActionScript from a swf file as a virtual machine intermediate language (bytecode), edit it and then return inserted into the file. The obfuscation swf file extraction is practically impossible in most cases.
