Golf Lessons from Shawn Clement

Shawn Clement is a teaching pro and Director of the Learning Center at the Richmond Hill Golf Club in Canada.

He played briefly on the Canadian Tour but decided that he was more comfortable as a teaching pro. He is 44 years old and can play well as either a right or left hander. In fact, he is a scratch golfer from both sides. In his teaching sequence, he will often switch sides to give you a different perspective on the individual movements.

He was medallist in the Canadian PGA qualifier in 1999 and in 2000 started appearing in Golf Tips Magazine as a ?Playing Editor? because they thought he could not only play but express his thoughts and teachings about the swing very well.

He was invited to the Golf Channel?s Academy Live and in July of 2001, appeared on Golf Academy Live with Jerry Foltz and Mike Ritz to talk about what made Moe Norman and Ben Hogan so special.

Shawn has many short golf training videos available. One of the things he did was, for a few months, take the major articles in Golf Digest and Golf Magazine and show you exactly what they were trying to demonstrate. He does not always agree with the precise techniques by the other teachers and, if not, he gives you his reasons and shows you the changes he prefers to those techniques.
